Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation
The AAMA’s Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation was established to draw attention to the important work our members are doing and to support clinical and scientific research relating to medical acupuncture. The annual Allen McDaniels Grant – Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation awards up to $30,000 to a qualified applicant. All current AAMA members are eligible to apply for the grant. Annual Poster Presentations
Each year, members are invited to submit an abstract (summary) to present a scientific poster as part of the AAMA Annual Symposium. Acupuncture research of all types is welcomed, including observational studies, surveys and clinical case series. Presentation of educational or quality improvement projects is also encouraged. The selection process for presentation is highly competitive. Abstracts and poster presentations must be submitted in English.
Annual Free Paper (Oral) Presentations
Each year, members are invited to submit an abstract (summary) to present a 20-minute free paper as part of the AAMA Annual Symposium. Free paper topics may be clinical or research (basic or clinical) related. All Free Papers must be submitted in English. The selection process for presentation is highly competitive. Abstracts and free papers must be submitted in English.
The call for entries for the 2022 Annual Acupuncture Research Paper Award is open! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place awards will be presented at the AAMA Symposium. The deadline for submission of research papers for the competition is January 14, 2022.
